Fresh Summer Salads For The Beach Or For A Picnic – Delicious Fruit Salad

If you want to do a fruit salad, that is arguably the absolute most simple thing you could ever do. How come? Because shredding an apple and putting it in a bowl could suffice – or, actually, does – suffice for a fruit salad. It is literally that simple. Perhaps some gourmet elitists find this a negative – the simplicity – but, personally, I think those people make food for the wrong reason. To me, food is all about enjoying – about satisfying your taste. And a great fruit salad will surely do just that.

To illustrate the apple-example, let us build a fruit salad from that base. With a shredded apple in a bowl, you can add some yoghurt to it. That will taste great (if you like yoghurt, that is; but, with all the different flavors of yoghurt that exist, there is surely some that you like). Now add another fruit, like a banana (again, take something that YOU enjoy).

As you might have figured out, fruit salads are very variable. You simply cannot go wrong, so try mixing whatever thing with whatever thing. If you were not a chef before this, maybe experimenting with this will make you interested in becoming one.

For some reason I am going to give you an example of a good salad that you can try. Here goes:
You use 2 oranges, 2 bananas, 2 big strawberries that you slice, 2 nectarines, 1 grapefruit and honeydew melon balls from 1/2 of a melon.

I really do not need to tell you how to make this dish, as all you do is mix the ingredients. However, you should leave the salad in the fridge overnight – covered in a plastic wrap. And, make sure you do not wait more than a day or two – depending on when you notice the fruits getting brown and mushy – before eating this.

Can you do something else with this salad? Sure – add yoghurt, whipped topping or whatever you can think of. I do hope that you enjoy this fruit salad.
